What is in the Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree DLC?

For the upcoming expansion, we've seen art that showcases a Torent-like horse being ridden by an unknown character. This is rumoured to be Miquella or Queen Marika. Additionally, the Erdtree featured in the cover art is bleeding gold, which may mean that this is a post-destruction story that happens after the endings in the base game. You'll also be able to see ethereal structures on the field, which could be the ghostly tombs of the Haligtree soldiers who sacrificed themselves in a flash to guide Miquella's return.

The Elden Ring expansion will likely feature plenty of new content, based on the size of the original game. Players can expect a completely new map covering about one-third of the area of the base game. Based on the previous Artorias of the Abyss and The Old Hunters expansions for other FromSoftware games, we'll probably see new items, consumables, materials, bosses, enemies, possibly new effects, and more magic types.

Moreover, you'll also be able to play the expansion on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and on Steam. We'll continue to update this page as more details on the upcoming Elden Ring expansion are announced.
