How to get Zorua and Zoroark in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet

Zorua and its evolution Zoroark, can be caught quite regularly in the wild - though you won't know you've encountered one until the battle starts. Like Ditto, it takes the form of a different Pokemon, and then will transform at the start of a wild battle.

The Tricky Fox Pokémon isn't a particularly rare spawn, so if you hang around the areas it's meant to be in, you'll find one fairly quickly. We had lots of luck n the Tagtree Thicket, and the area around Medali.

If you want to catch a Zoruark though, your best bet is to look around the area to the north of Casseroya Lake.

How to get Hisuian Zoroark in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet

Announced on Pokemon Day 2023, it's now possible to get Hisuian Zoroark in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet - and you don't need a copy of Pokemon Legends Arceus, either.

To get Hisuian Zoroark in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, you need to pre-order The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero. This is a DLC add-on much like the Isle of Armor and Crowd Tundra DLC from Pokemon Scarlet and Violet.

Though the content it adds won't be available until Fall and Winter 2023, you get a Hisuian Zoroark serial code for pre-ordering the DLC. Once you have one, you can enter it into the Mystery Gift screen in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet to get Hisuian Zoroark.

You can only use the code on one save file, so be sure to transfer the Hisuian Zoroark to Pokemon Home if you want to start over. The code will only work until February 29, 2024, too, so be sure to use it before then. You'll need to pre-order The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero before the end of October 2023 to get a code

Right now, yes. You'll need to pre-order the Pokemon Scarlet and Violet DLC to get Hisuian Zoroark. But the announcement suggested this might not be the only way to get the Pokemon in the future.

What level does Zorua evolve into Zoroark in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet?

Very simply, you can evolve Zorua into Zoroark starting at level 30. You could opt not to evolve them or hold out for a later level but for most, it makes sense to do it as soon as possible. That'll let you access its improved stats and moveset.
