Announced during Nintendo's E3 presentation, Super Monkey Ball: Banana Mania is coming out later this year. First discovered as a result of ratings board leaks, SEGA's bringing back AiAi, MeeMee, Baby, and GonGon in a brand new multiplatform remake.
Developed by Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio - best known for their work on Yakuza and Judgment - it follows on from 2019's remake of Wii entry Banana Blitz. This time around though, SEGA's remaking Super Monkey Ball Deluxe, a 2005 entry which merged the first two Monkey Ball games with extra content.

Geoff Keighley and Sega announced Morgana from Persona 5 will join the Banana Mania roster of playable characters.
August 4 - Jet Set Radio Crossover Announced
Sega announced Beat from Jet Set Radio will be playable in Banana Mania as additional content. However, it's not paid DLC. Sega said Beat and other crossover characters will be unlockable through normal gameplay.

Super Monkey Ball: Banana Mania will see a full multiplatform release on October 5, 2021.

SEGA announced Super Monkey Ball: Banana Mania is coming to Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, PC, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S.
Unlike other recent SEGA games such as Sonic Colors: Ultimate, PS5 and Xbox Series X|S will receive full native releases for Banana Mania, as opposed to running via backwards compatibility.
Gameplay
As a remake of Super Monkey Ball Deluxe, this'll feature over 300 different stages remastered from the original trilogy, seeing us roll across tricky terrains to reach the goal, and SEGA's implementing a new slow-motion feature. Sonic and Tails are playable characters too, alongside Jet Set Radio's Beat.
There's also 12 recreated mini-games from the original, local multiplayer for 4 players, online leaderboards, and a time attack mode. SEGA's also released a "Wondrous Worlds" trailer showcasing gameplay, which you can find below.
Performance Details
While we don't have resolution or framerate details for most platforms, SEGA has confirmed that Banana Mania's Nintendo Switch edition runs at 60 frames per second, alongside exclusive Gyro controls. As such, we'd expect at least 60fps gameplay on other platforms too.
