Sonic Colors Ultimate's Physical Release Delayed In Europe

SEGA's announced Sonic Colors Ultimate's physical release has been delayed in the EMEA region, which affects Europe, the Middle East and Africa.

Releasing a statement via Twitter, SEGA advised this wouldn't affect digital releases and that this excludes Australia and New Zealand. Presently, there's no new physical release date but this statement confirmed:

All physical editions of Sonic: Colours Ultimate, which include both the standard and keyring edition; will be delayed across all EMEA markets, excluding Australia & New Zealand. This does not impact the digital release across all first party platforms.

Sonic Colors Ultimate's Physical Release Delayed In Europe

With the digital edition still launching on September 7th, that likely has relates to COVID-19 causing production issues, something we'd previously seen with Doki Doki Literature Club Plus. However, unless confirmed by SEGA, that remains speculative.

In the meantime, we'd assume the North American and Asian physical releases are going ahead as planned. Launching for PS4, Xbox One, Switch and PC ( Xbox Series X/S and PS5 too, via backwards compatibility), we'll be bringing you our impressions closer to launch.
