Diablo 2: Resurrected launches later this week, bringing us a remastered edition of Blizzard's acclaimed hack-and-slash action RPG over two decades later. Taking on a new hero after Diablo's return, that's coming to PC, Xbox, PlayStation, and Nintendo Switch.

For PC players, you might be wondering if a Steam release is planned. Still one of the most popular PC platforms going, Valve's upcoming Steam Deck is also scheduled to launch in December, making portable Diablo II: Resurrected a potentially attractive proposition.

Is Diablo 2: Resurrected Coming To Steam?

Sadly, the answer is no. Traditionally, Battle.net has been Blizzard's main avenue for releasing their PC games, wholly owned by the company. Considering the following they gained these last few decades, Blizzard's never seen a need to use other PC platforms. Sure, they've not outright denied a Steam release, but Battle.net exclusivity is practically guaranteed.

As a reminder, Activision Blizzard are being sued by the State of California, placing them under investigation for allegedly fostering a sexist and discriminatory work environment. Reports have mainly focused on Blizzard specifically, but Activision face a separate lawsuit from investors. CEO Bobby Kotick has also been subpoenaed.
