OUT NOW: The ViewSonic ELITE XG341C-2K has been released. Check it out at Amazon right here.

The ViewSonic ELITE XG341C-2K is arguably one of the most anticipated monitors set for release, and we're all itching to find out when the exact date will be.

While there is still some mystery around the monitor, and many of the upcoming ultrawide displays too, practically all of the recent announcements, we do have some idea of what to expect when it does hit shelves, and when.

Here's everything we know so far, and why you should be excited about what's tipped to be the world's fastest 34" curved gaming monitor.

ViewSonic ELITE XG341C-2K Release Date Speculation

When it comes to the monitors release, we don't have an exact date just yet, and it even the official product listing doesn't seem to give any clues.

We've checked back in with the listing recently and submitted a request, so hopefully we'll have an answer sooner rather than later.

Other 300hz+ 1440p monitors were announced alongside this ViewSonic display, have debuted already. We could speculate that this will be the case with the ViewSonic monitor, however, we will have to wait for announcements and more clues to surface.

Considering the monitor was announced around CES 2022, we really wouldn't expect it to be too far around the corner, especially as the Samsung Odyssey Ark (also announced at CES 2022) was released in 2022 itself.

The good news is that we do know about this ViewSonic monitor's specs...and they're well worth waiting for.

ViewSonic ELITE XG341C-2K Specs

The ELITE XG341C-2K claims the title as the world's fastest 34" ultra-widescreen Mini-LED gaming monitor.

This is done to the overclocked 200hz refresh rate combined with a 1ms response time.

Of course, there are other features that all aid super-smooth gameplay, such as AMD Freesync Premium Pro, which should help in reducing screen tearing and jutter.

In terms of the picture itself, it's WQHD, covers 97% DCI-P3, and has a massive 1,400 nit brightness, as expected from a monitor that is VESA DisplayHDR™ 1400 certified.

The brightness stands out here and is far brighter than some of the upcoming OLED gaming monitors we've seen too.

You're also getting a 1500R curve, which may be a little much for productivity, but perfect for increasing immersion.

WHAT A STAR: The World's fastest 34" curved monitor is nearly here.

At 34 inches it's similar to the Samsung Neo G8 in the way that it provides that ultra-wide experience without the need to purchase a behemoth screen like the Samsung Odyssey G9 or the upcoming Samsung Odyssey Ark.

Interestingly though, even though this ultrawide and WQHD, it features HDMI 2.1 ports that are typically associated with next-gen console gamers.

Both PS5 and Xbox Series X don't officially support ultrawide, and the jury is still out as to when PS5 will support 1440p too, so this is a slightly odd inclusion, but welcome nonetheless.

Thankfully, if you are doubling up this monitor as a productivity station, it has a USB-C port for 90W power delivery - great for connecting a laptop or other devices.

ViewSonic ELITE XG341C-2K Price Speculation

There are no details just yet on the price, but we're sure to find out sooner rather than later.

If we had to throw our hat in the ring, we'd say expect a price tag between $1000 - $1400.

We know it's a wide range but based on the price of the latest ViewSonic Elite 4K HDMI 2.1 monitor, we'd say it could go either way.

Don't forget that ViewSonic has released other monitors recently as well, including the 300hz, 1440p powerhouse XG272G-2K, and a 32" curved display XG321UG.
