Call of Duty Warzone Mobile: Release date speculation, leaks, and more

Call of Duty's mobile game is hugely successful, generating a wealth of revenue in addition to combining various guns and maps from nearly every single annual release.

Many believe COD Mobile to be the complete package thanks to its in-depth multiplayer, fully-fledged ranked playlist, and dedicated battle royale. While the current battle royale mode is popular, Activision is looking to take its mobile offerings one step further by creating a mobile version of Warzone.

Warzone Mobile release date

Before Activision officially confirmed Warzone Mobile, leaks pointed towards the game could launch at some point in 2022. In December 2021, notable leaker Tom Henderson revealed that the game is "scoped for 2022."

Since the leaks, Warzone Mobile is now available in Australia for Google Play users but the publisher reiterates that the worldwide rollout will take place in 2023.

Activision's Solid State Studios, Digital Legends, Beenox, Activision Shanghai, and Demonware are collaborating on Warzone Mobile. The publisher also announced it's looking for individuals to assist with the development.

To deliver a unified experience across the Call of Duty franchise, Activision confirms Warzone Mobile features shared progression across the battle royale, Warzone 2, and Modern Warfare 2 meaning your level progression and battle pass progress will transfer between the three titles.

Will Warzone Mobile have Verdansk?

Following recent reveals, Warzone Mobile does include Verdansk which is great news if you're a fan of the iconic map from the first iteration of Warzone. Featuring numerous areas from legendary multiplayer maps, Verdansk is an excellent battle royale map and will prove extremely popular as players drop into Warzone Mobile for the first time.
