This particular selection of perks features in the vast majority of loadouts thanks to the benefits they provide. Whether it's resistance to incoming grenades or faster health regeneration, these perks have you covered.
Modern Warfare 2 perks list
The Call of Duty Next event contained a wealth of information on the Modern Warfare 2 perks system. Players can use a total of four perks as part of a loadout and rather than benefitting from them all at once, you can unlock them over the course of a match.
Here's the full list of Modern Warfare 2 perks so far. If new ones appear, we will update the list.
Base perks
- Overkill - Carry two primary weapons.
- Double Time - Doubles the duration of Tactical Sprint
- Battle Hardened - Reduced effect of flash, stun, EMP, gas grenades, shock sticks. Immunity to Snapshot Grenades.
- Scavenger - Resupply ammo from fallen players.
- Bomb Squad - Increased resistance to non-killstreak explosives. Reset fuse timers when picking up live grenades
- Tracker - See enemy footsteps on the ground.
- Strong Arm - Throw equipment further and see a preview of grenade trajectory.
- Extra Tactical - Spawn with an extra Tactical.
Bonus perks
You can earn a Bonus perk four minutes into the match and as expected, there are plenty to choose from:
- Resupply - Spawn with an extra Lethal. Equipment recharges over 25 seconds.
- Spotter - Spot enemy equipment, field upgrades, and killstreaks through walls.
- Cold-Blooded - Undetectable by AI targeting systems and thermal optics. Doesn't trigger High Alert warning. Doesn't highlight Tactical Cameras, Recon Drones, and Spotter Scopes.
- Fast Hands - Reload, use equipment, and swap weapons faster.
- Focus - Reduces flinch when aiming down sight. Extends Hold Breath duration.
Ultimate perks
Lastly, Ultimate perks in Modern Warfare 2 activate eight minutes into a match. In comparison to the other perks, these have more of an impact on the game. Here's a full list of Modern Warfare 2 ultimate perks:
- High Alert - Vision pulses when spotted by an enemy player
- Ghost - Undetectable by enemy UAVs, Portable Radars, and Heartbeat Sensors.
- Hardline - Reduces killstreak cost by one.
- Quick Fix - Score a kill to trigger health regeneration. Capturing and holding an objective increases health regeneration rate.
- Overclock - Store an extra field upgrade charge. Increases recharge rate by 40%.
- Survivor - Ability to enter Last Stand with a chance to self-revive once per life.
- Birds' Eye - Minimap zooms out and pings enemies on the minimap by displaying a red dot.
