With the remake of Resident Evil 4 set to drop later this month, it’s a great time to be a horror game buff in search of something to play with the lights off and scare yourself silly.

Some of these fearless fans are already enjoying a taste of what the game has to offer by delving into its freshly released demo, which even packs a hidden difficulty mode, while others have been binge-watching a re-creation of the original game’s intro using LEGO.

However, if you’re already looking for something to spice up your hair-raising in-game experience, a new mod, which transforms Leon into one of Hollywood’s most beloved action heroes, might be worth taking a look at.

Do you fancy unleashing the infamous Boogeyman on Resident Evil’s horrific hordes?

The mod in question is simply called ‘Keanu Reeves’ and is the work of prolific modder XxCRAZYPOTATOxX. Some of their previous projects have turned Resident Evil Village’s Lady Dimitrescu into Thomas the Tank Engine and made Resi 3’s Jill a big fan of Animal Crossing’s Isabelle.

This time, as you can see in the showcase video below, they’ve decided to give the Chainsaw Demo version of Leon with the visage of the man who portrayed Neo in the Matrix.

While he lacks the cybernetic arm and sarcastic barbs of Cyberpunk 2077’s Johnny Silverhand, this video game version of Keanu still looks the part while kicking undead bottoms, even if he might suffer some mild visual glitching during certain animations, as Leon’s default skin tries to fight back against the sudden re-casting.

Sadly for John Wick fans looking to properly re-create the Baba Yaga, you’re also stuck with Keanu in Leon’s default clothing for the time being, though, as user Toxin126 pointed out in the mod’s comments, once the full game releases, someone might retexture Leon’s mafia outfit to resemble Wick’s trademark suit.

As of now, XxCRAZYPOTATOxXb does suggest that they’ll likely be issuing an update to the mod once the full game arrives, though they seem to suggest their main aim will just be to ensure the Keanu head model still works as intended.

Regardless of whether you’re now mowing down zombies with assassin-like efficiency and imitating Reeves’ classic ‘woah’ whenever the demo throws a fresh batch of enemies at you, make sure to follow us for plenty of guides to the Resident Evil 4 Remake and check out our coverage of interesting mods for other games.
