5 Weapons That Broke Fortnite

Fortnite has seen many weapons over the years. While there's a new selection of weapons every time a new season launches, a lot of older weapons also carry on.

That being said, there are a few weapons that absolutely broke Fortnite. While the community hated these weapons, a part of it (my favorite part of the community) loved these weapons!

Here's a list of the 5 weapons that broke Fortnite.

5 weapons that broke Fortnite

#1 Light Sabers

The Light Sabers were fancy additions in Fortnite back in 2020. Although they were available for a short period of time, they were absolute beasts.

You don't get brownie points for guessing that this weapon blocked enemy fire. So you were technically invincible while wielding a Light Saber. I was rather disappointed when they vaulted this one.

#2 Recon Scanner & Rail Gun

This is more of a combination of weapons that you'll find in Fortnite Season 7. This duo has been removed from competitive mode because it was too overpowered.

The Recon Scanner can mark enemies in a specific radius in Fortnite. You can then use this information to take them out with the Rail Gun. Best part is that you can shoot through walls with the Rail Gun.

#3 Zapotron

This weapon might just return in Fortnite Season 7. But the Zapotron was an absolute beast when it was first launched in Fortnite. Imagine a sniper rifle with laser-like accuracy and burst fire. Yep, that's the Zapotron.

I don't think they'll let the OG Zapotron out when it finally goes live once again in Fortnite. I just hope they don't nerf it all the way.

#4 Infinity Blade

You'd have to be old in Fortnite to have seen the Infinity Blade. This weapon had a very short life span in the regular battle royale but you'll still find it in the Creative Mode. Like the Light Saber, even this sword was a melee weapon and dealt 75 damage.

But, you had health regeneration and your shields were doubled. Oh, and you also gained health with every elimination! I'd love to get my hands on this weapon in public lobbies once again. If you need to make overpowered swords, the Infinity Blade is a good example. Bungie are you listening to me?

#5 Primal Shotgun

Players just hated the Primal Shotgun in Fortnite Season 6. If you've just started playing the game you won't know about this. Think about a shotgun, but you fire two slugs every time you pull the trigger. So you have a wider pellet spread.

But here's where it gets better! It's an automatic shotgun! So you understand how overpowered this was? Especially the Legendary variant of the Primal Shotgun. It was an absolute beast. This gun was nerfed a couple of times, but sweats still complained about it. Then again, they complain about everything under the sun when it comes to Fortnite.
