Hitman 3 Helps IO Interactive Achieve Its 'Most Profitable Year Ever'

IO Interactive announced that 2021 is their 'most profitable year ever' in their annual report, and much of this success is down to Hitman 3.

As stated in the report, Hitman 3 earned 300% of its initial budget after launching in early January 2021. IOI's fiscal year ended March 31, 2021, so the sales impact it had on the company's overall earnings can't be overstated.

Hitman 3 surpassed the performance of its predecessors, Hitman (2016) and Hitman 2 (2018), potentially helped by the regular release of new content, including Hitman 3's Seven Deadly Sins expansions and exclusive contracts.

It's no surprise, either. We called Hitman 3 an excellent game, praising its smart level design, intricate contracts, and near-endless range of possibilities in how players carry out their objectives.

New projects such as the James Bond game called Project 007, and a new RPG title hidden in the codename Project Dragon are also some of IO Interactive's plans to continue their profitable years.
