Among Us Devs Wish Epic Would've Approached Them Over Fortnite's "Impostors" Mode

You may have seen that Epic Games recently announced a new Fortnite mode called Impostors. Seeing 10 players gather in a secret facility called "The Bridge" to complete tasks, sabotage, and quietly kill off others... well, that sounds exactly like Innersloth's social deduction game Among Us.

We'd previously heard collaboration rumours between the two hit games, though according to Innersloth, Epic Games never approached them about Impostors. Understandably, that's led to some staff members expressing significant disappointment and frustration.

Among Us Devs Wish Epic Would've Approached Them Over Fortnite's "Impostors" Mode

Taking to Twitter, Innersloth's community manager Victoria Tran stated "it would've been really, really cool to collab." Later on, Tran confirmed:

I think it's just hitting me particularly hard today cause of all the bf dungeon stuff, plus this, and it hits so weirdly personal because it feels exactly like being a woman/POC in tech.

Without naming Epic Games or Fortnite, Innersloth's Adriel Wallick also chimed in, stating "Everything in the world was already feeling insurmountable, so this was just another fun reminder of how tiny we all really are."

It's a depressing situation, one that could've easily been avoided by teaming up with Innersloth to make a true Fortnite collaboration. While Epic hasn't formally responded to requests for comment about this Among Us-style mode, Innersloth's game has a dedicated audience, one that's not likely to disappear anytime soon.
