Ori and the Will of the Wisps is one of 2020's highest-rated titles, and it's coming to Xbox Series X in the coming months.

Proving that "The Blind Forest" was no one-hit-wonder, could Moon Studios look to craft a threequel?

According to a recent interview with The Gamer, it's no guarantee.

Ori and the Will of the Wisps: Will There Be A Sequel?

The stunning platformer recently landed on Nintendo Switch, but what's next isn't certain, according to art director Jeremy Gritton.

“I think we left the door open, the way that it ends, that even if it’s the end of Ori’s personal story it’s a really robust world… there’s a lot of opportunity for different storytelling,” Gritton said.

“Whether it’s a spin-off, or prequel, or anything like that, I think there’s a lot of options there to continue to elaborate on that world and to tell interesting stories. We’ll see what the future holds.”

Gritton also noted that a game in the franchise isn't currently in development.

As for the Xbox Series X version of Ori's second adventure, it's set to be quite the technical showpiece.
