How To Write for Gfinity Digital Media
Want to write for Gfinity on a freelance basis? Want to flex your gaming knowledge and work alongside a fantastic group of editors and writers?
Are you a die-hard expert with an encyclopedic knowledge of your favourite games? How about a unique take on a trending topic you just have to get out there?
Well, you're in the right place. Here's everything you need to know about pitching Gfinity, including what we're looking for and what to include in a good pitch.
What We're Looking For
Right now, we’re especially interested in hearing from those who can reliably cover the following games. Please do get in touch and specify which of the below you’re an expert on:
- The Sims
- Genshin Impact
- League of Legends
- GTA Online
Feel free to pitch us on other topics, of course! If you can pique our interest, there's always the chance we'll be able to make something work.
What We Aren't Looking For
How To Pitch
Here are some handy pointers on how to pitch Gfinity.
Who To Pitch
Fill out the form above to give our commissioning editors all the information they need on your experience, ability to tackle certain games, and contact details.
What To Include in Your Pitch
For guides, give us a paragraph on your guide writing experience and throw a couple of examples our way so we can see your writing ability and style. If you’re pitching content on a specific game, let us know your level of expertise - have you written about it before, are you fully up to date on the latest content, etc?
Other Dos and Don’ts
Keep your pitches nice and concise, and please don't pitch us a piece you've already written elsewhere. Send a pitch, not a full story, and make sure we haven't covered it before. It's always good to see your portfolio too, whether that be a personal site, a blog, or a Muckrack page. We’d also work with you to determine word count and turnaround time on any content you pitch us.
We look forward to working with you and publishing your work here at Gfinity!
