While a lot of Cyberpunk 2077 players are already imagining how sweet life will be when the Phantom Liberty Expansion arrives and they can ditch their old flame Keanu Reeves for a fresh celebrity companion in Idris Elba, some are still hanging out in Night City while they wait.

For the veteran players who’ve already shot their way through all of the gigs in their quest log, stealthily scoured the underbelly of CDPR’s metropolis to unearth all of its hidden secrets and taken in the stunningly-rendered vistas the game’s newly added Ray Tracing Overdrive Mode, things might be getting a little stale.

If you’re in need of something fresh to do while wandering around Night City and don’t fancy being hunted down by gangs of mercenaries, a new mod might be worth adding to your load order.

Do you fancy chilling out and taking in some TV while you wait for Cyberpunk 2077’s Phantom Liberty expansion to arrive?

The mod in question is called ‘TV Anywhere’ and is the work of prolific modder Deceptious. Some of their previous projects have given you the chance to replay romance cutscenes and added some immersive new quests to the game.

This time, they’ve decided to create a means of getting the couch potatoes who’ve grown far too attached to lounging around in their futuristic apartments out into the sunshine and semi-polluted atmosphere of the streets.

The mod achieves this by offering you the chance to grab a portable video tablet that you’ll be able to use to tune into whichever TV show is being broadcast throughout Night City while out and about, by pressing the sprint button.

Said tablet is acquired via a short quest called ‘Throw Away Your Television’ that’ll see you pay Vik Vektor a visit once you’ve paid off your debt to him and nab his old VideoTab.

That said, before you can then use your new toy, you’ll first have to make sure your character satisfies an array of conditions, including not being on the move, in combat or having a weapon in their hand before you can get your new screen to pop up without any issues.

You also might want to make sure you haven’t cranked your real-life setup to max volume, as there’s currently no way of controlling how loud the tablet output will be.

If you’ve not been put off by the idea of recreating that time you forgot to plug your headphones in on the bus, you’ll need to grab Deceptious’ ‘Deceptious Quest Core’ and WopsS’ ‘RED4ext’, as well as Psiberx’s ‘TweakXL’ and ‘ArchiveXL’ in order to get things working as intended.
